Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC)
The Insitute enjoys usage of the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) - the University’s second world-class multi-million pound graphene-focused centre - which sees industry-led development in applications through partnerships with academics.

Henry Royce Institute
The Royce is the UK national centre for research and innovation in advanced materials, partnering with seven UK universities, the UK Atomic Energy Agency and National Nuclear Laboratory.

Manchester Institute of Biotechnology (MIB)
The MIB focuses on developing advanced approaches to specific biotechnology challenges at the interface between medicine and biology and the physical sciences, engineering, mathematics and computation.
National Graphene Institute (NGI)
The Department uses the University's National Graphene Institute - the national centre for graphene research in the UK. The Institute draws in specialists from across the globe and houses stunning facilities.
